Mt. Clemens Salvation Army

Description:
Homeless services include a day room (warming/cooling center) open from 8:30am to 3:00pm, showers, meals (breakfast and lunch), clothing assistance, and hygiene items. Assistance with bus tickets or prescriptions may also be available in some cases. Additionally referrals for other agencies and a variety of non-homeless services are available. Open Mon-Fri. Computer lab available Mondays at 1:00pm, and Thursdays at 11:00am to assist clients with locating employment and creating resumes.

Description:
An adult drop in center that provides a safe place for individuals who are suffering from a severe and persistent mental illness to socialize and participate in daily programs.

The Ray of Hope Day Center - Currently in Transition

Description:
The Day Center is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am-4pm for referrals to agencies that can help homeless, onsite representatives will be availble on specified dates & times, telephone & computer use, Pastoral/Spiritual counseling, Assistance with filling out and filing forms, assistance with neccessary transportation, help in obtaining medical, dental and/or mental health assistance, and assistance in job and employment training.

Description:

    Description:
    DCS is a Federally Qualified Health Center offering Primary medical care by Board Certified Family Practice Physicians. Services to the homeless include outreach teams of Nurse Practioner, Nurse and Casemanager who provide primary medical care, medical assessments, prescriptions, over the counter medications, and dental and vision care as funding permits. Behaviorial services include substance abuse and mental health treatment in shelters and soup kitchens with appropriate referrals to community agencies (CARE or CMH) when indicated.

    Youth/Runaway Shelter/Assistance

    Family Youth Interventions

    Description:
    FYI is licensed as a Child Caring Institution by the Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services. A maximum of six youth can be housed at any one time, for a maximum length of stay of 15 days. In October 2005, FYI expanded its services to include a Homeless Youth Program. This program can provide up to 18 months of service to homeless youth 16 through age 20 and their families with the primary focus of helping youth achieve self-sufficiency and remain off the streets.

    MCCSA - Community Action Centers

    Description:
    Macomb County Community Services Agency is a Community Action Agency provides a network of comprehensive educational, economic and social services to Macomb County residents in need to diminish the causes and effects of poverty.

    MCCSA has programs for senior citizens like Meals on Wheels, Dining Senior Style, Senior Citizen Chore Service and Home Injury Control; emergency assistance such as the Macomb Food Program (emergency food) and the Community Action Centers; free preschool through Head Start; Transportation services; first time home buyer assistance through the Individual Development Account (IDA) program and American Dream Downpayment Initiative (ADDI); Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Program; home weatherization services through Home Preservation and Energy; and coordination of homeless services through the Continuum of Care.

    Macomb County Department of Human Services

    Description:
    The Department of Human Services (DHS) is Michigan's public assistance, child and family welfare agency. DHS directs the operations of public assistance and service programs through a network of over 100 county department of human service offices around the state.
